COMMITTEES

At school, many people work together in different committees. You can find an overview of this on this page.

SCHOOL CONFERENCE

The Schleswig-Holstein school law states:

§ 62 (1) Within the framework of its tasks, the school conference is the supreme decision-making body of the school. The head teacher carries out the decisions of the school conference.

The school conference is made up of elected parents and teachers and meets twice a school year. The respective dates can be found in our calendar.

PARENT REPRESENTATION

In each class, three parents are elected as parent representatives at the beginning of the first and third school years. They are the interface between the parents of the class and the teachers who teach there.

The parents' representatives take part in class and report conferences and invite parents to class parents' evenings.

They often organize class festivals or participate in the planning of school festivals.

All parents' representatives of the school together form the School Parents' Advisory Board (SEB). This in turn elects a chair. The SEB meets regularly to exchange information.

STUDENT COUNCILS

At the meetings of the student council, each class is represented by its two class representatives, and the school management is also present.

Together we will then discuss what is on everyone's mind. For example:

  • the rules during the break,
  • planning a party or
  • a new purchase request.

DISPUTES

Nobody knows elementary school students and their conflicts better than the children themselves.

Therefore, the concept of peer-to-peer mediation is used at the HLS:

In the event of a dispute, those involved can seek help from the mediators.

The mediators are specially trained fourth graders.

They received intensive mediation training in an additional school lesson per week for six months and make their social skills available to all other students as school mediators.

SCHOOL ASSOCIATION

We are very happy about new members, donations or volunteers who help us to give their children an unforgettable primary school time!!!

Statute of the school association declaration of entry Annual Report 2021/22 General Assembly 2021/22

The wishes of the children are our top priority in the school association. The school association of the Hermann-Löns-School is a non-profit association that aims to make the first years of school easier for your children, to make them playful and to fulfill heart's desires for which the funds are not sufficient. The board of directors of the school association meets regularly in order to get the best for all students together with the school management Ms. Matthies.

We promote:

  • Subsidies for individual classes for joint ventures/activities (school trips, travel expenses for school trips, project days and weeks)
  • Equipping the individual classes with a break box
  • Subsidies for the purchase of teaching materials and school equipment (including platforms, microphones, partitions, specialist materials such as English, art, musical instruments)
